Some people say it may cause a $84 million write down for DW.
Yes but i saw in article which said it isnt a flop yet. IT IS NOT A FLOP YET. WE HAVE STILL HOPE.

TOOTHLESS ! ♥
Please, i need to know.
Especially now that i have just got the heartbreaking news about MPAS.
FOREVER AND EVER
i was thinking of making a couple of gifsets with the mr. peabody and sherman/rotg parallels
what do you guys think?
Wall Street analysts were taking potshots at DreamWorks Animation on Monday after Mr. Peabody & Sherman raked in a lackluster $32.5 million over the weekend, causing the stock to drop 1.4 percent while the S&P 500 was about flat. Stern Agee analyst Vasily Karasyov predicts Peabody will eventually earn $310 million at the global box office, which would translate to an $84 million write-down. Karasyov has an “underperform” rating on DWA and $17 price target, whereas shares closed at $29.05 on Monday.
"#if it was disney you would be worshiping it even if it was a shit movie"
TOO TRUE. This makes me so sad :(
Rise of the Guardians could have done just as well as Frozen if it was by Disney and that’s the stupid reality. This is why I we all need to band together for HTTYD 2. I’m sick of this Disney privilege. I kind of expected that Mr. Peabody and Sherman wouldn’t do so good the first weekend simply based on the fact that most children aren’t familiar with them. With Disney, we get normally remakes of classic fairy tales, where DreamWorks either takes a newer children’s story and adds their own twist (which usually gets people who haven’t seen the film adaptation angry because it “ruins the book”) or makes something new and exciting like The Croods, but gets shot down in awards by Disney.
THIS. I too am fed up with Disney getting so much attention. I hope that this year, HTTYD 2 will be a big success, and that it will do well in awards, and the Oscars too.
But, if Disney’s Big Hero 6 still gets the attention over HTTYD 2, and wins all of the awards, I’m just going to simply ignore the Oscars. They’re just awards for popularity, and the voters are usually biased, or cannot be asked to watch all of the nominated films, just like this year, with Frozen.
I’ll worry about the awards later, but let’s just make sure that we ALL go see HTTYD the opening weekend if we can (and I’m sure there will be multiple viewings during its run for many of us… like myself). Bring your friends, bring your family!!!! Just goo!! If you can. I know its not possible for everyone.
And for you poor UK fans, I know it may be tempting to watch a link online and I don’t care if you do, just as long as you still go see the movie in theaters when it finally arrives in July. A big screen and 3D is way cooler than a computer screen. Just think of the 3D, though. Also, think of it as… purchasing a movie ticket is kind of like a voting ballot. You voted this particular movie was a better choice to watch than any other movie that day, and this movie’s company gets your support.
I just really want to piss off Disney with HTTYD. Maybe it won’t get almost a billion worldwide like Frozen has, but we will make a big deal of it and drive them nuts.
In the mean time, please go see MPAS, it was sooo hilarious and very sweet and it doesn’t deserve to flop
ALL OF THIS^ I MEAN OMFG YES HTTYD IS JUST AS GOOD AS ANY DISNEY FILM THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THE OSCARS CAN GO FUCK THEMSELVES
